Her ability to work with owners as well as their dogs is outstanding

As a pet professional for over 30 years I have seldom met anyone with a better understanding of canine behavior and canine communication skills. I have attended Rachel’s classes with puppies as part of their training and development, and have referred many of my clients to her.

Her ability to work with owners as well as their dogs is outstanding. She is able to tailor the specific training method to each and every individual dog, and her classes are always interesting for both the owner and dog!

Patient with dogs and very patient with me!

Ruffian holding a down with distractions. Rachel is the greatest dog trainer! Patient with dogs and very patient with me!! Has helped me immensely with Ruffian and is absolutely wonderful with modifying exercises that work with wobblers syndrome.

After just a couple of classes, she became more outgoing, started playing with toys and my other dog.

I am so happy i decided to take Roxie to Rachel’s Tricks Class in December of 2018. Roxie is an agility and rally dog since 4 months old and was obedient to the point of not knowing how to really play. After just a couple of classes, she became more outgoing, started playing with toys and my other dog. She actually seemed happier. Rachel is a wonderful teacher, so patient and dogs just react so positively to her. Roxie is coming out of her shell and is loving learning new tricks every week. She has already earned her Novice and Intermediate Tricks Titles ~ thank you Rachel

Ciara and I are now a certified Therapy Dog team

I first brought my black lab puppy, Ciara, to puppy training because I wanted to learn to walk with her on leash without being pulled down the street. Rachel has taught us that and so much more. Rachel saw such potential in Ciara and helped me learn how to bring it out in her. Because of that Ciara and I are now a certified Therapy Dog team. We visit nursing homes in the area. Ciara loves all the happiness she gives and receives on the visits! We continued training in the Tricks class so we could have new things to share on our visits. Ciara has since earned both the AKC Beginner and Intermediate Trick Dog certificates! Whatever your dog training needs, I recommend Rachel!

She was able to help all of our Goldens

become solid Canine Citizens

Rachel’s enthusiasm for dog training is obvious the moment your first walk into one of her classes. She gives every dog in her classes equal time and will help you mold specific behaviors that your dog needs to work on. She is not a “one-size-fits-all” trainer. She has different methods to help you teach your dog the behaviors you are looking for. If Plan A isn’t working for you or your dog, there is always a Plan B. You will always leave one of her classes with a lot more knowledge about your dog than when you entered the room.

The three dogs I have brought to her all had unique personalities and challenges, even though all three are Golden Retrievers. One of our Goldens is a rescue who was, to put it mildly, out of her mind when I brought her to Rachel. After weeks in a group setting, I decided to continue her training with private lessons. Rachel worked on her confidence. She worked on strengthening exercises to help strengthen her hips. She taught her games to help channel her energy (she especially loves nose work!).

It all paid off, as we now own a Golden Retriever who not only has settled down but has also welcomed a puppy into the house. I am not sure it would have been easy to introduce her to a puppy prior to going to school. She was able to help all of our Goldens become solid Canine Citizens, both in our home and outside our home.

I will bring all future dogs to her for their training and be 100% confident that both the dogs AND myself will come out of it with the tools needed to help the dogs reach their full potential.
